Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2, 2026.
1. Who we are
Skilnu ("Skilnu," "we," "us") is operated by Alessandro Delfino. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Skilnu website, the skill registry, the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, and any related APIs and tools (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. What the Service is
Skilnu is a registry for AI agent skills — small instruction documents
(SKILL.md files) that teach an AI agent how to do something specific.
The Service lets you publish, compose, version, and share skills, and serves them to
MCP-compatible clients (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or other agent tools) that you or
others connect to it. Some features (semantic search, combining multiple skills into
one, generating suggested skill content) are backed by third-party AI models we call on
your behalf.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials confidential.
- Every account is also a "publisher" — a handle (e.g.
app.skilnu.com/your-handle) under which skills you publish are attributed to you. - You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, including through an API key or MCP client you've configured.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to create an account. The Service is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Publish skill content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware, prompt-injection payloads designed to hijack another agent's behavior, or instructions to exfiltrate data without the user's knowledge;
- Attempt to bypass access controls on private or shared skills that haven't been shared with you;
- Abuse or attempt to circumvent rate limits, throttling, or the API/MCP access controls described in our documentation;
- Misrepresent your identity, impersonate another publisher, or falsely claim a "verified" status; or
- Reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or resell access to the Service except through the API/MCP interfaces we provide for that purpose.
Every published skill is automatically scanned for known prompt-injection patterns, undeclared network calls, and common code-security issues before it's accepted; skills that fail this check are rejected or held back pending review.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the skills, descriptions, and other content you publish. By publishing a skill, you grant Skilnu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, index, serve, cache, and (where you've enabled it) let other users' agents compose your skill into their own workflows, for as long as it stays published. You control whether a skill or folder is public or private, and can share private content with specific people.
You're responsible for making sure you have the right to publish whatever you publish, and for the accuracy of any "verified" claims about dependencies or licensing you attach to it.
6. Fees and subscriptions
The free tier covers core publishing, discovery, and MCP access within documented usage limits. Paid ("Pro") tiers unlock higher limits and additional features and are billed through Stripe on a subscription basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can view your current plan, manage payment details, or cancel at any time from your account's billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a security or legal risk to the Service or its users — for example, a skill flagged by our automated security scanning as malicious. Where practical, we'll tell you why. You can stop using the Service, and request deletion of your account and data, at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how.
8. Disclaimers
The Service, and any skill content or AI-generated output it serves, is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Skills are instructions written by other users (or, for suggested/combined skills, drafted by an AI model) — we don't guarantee their accuracy, safety, or fitness for any particular agent or task. Review a skill's content before letting an agent act on it, especially one that isn't marked as coming from a verified publisher.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skilnu will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for actions taken by an AI agent based on content served through it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This does not affect any statutory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above; for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify account holders (for example, by email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect.
